FREE Social Media Training for Native Hawaiian Serving Organizations

There is a wonderful FREE social media workshop opportunity for Native Hawaiian serving organizations.

There are only two workshops being held:

• Saturday, November 19, 10 am – 12 noon
• Sunday, November 27, 10 am – 12 noon

Description:

Workshop in Social Media with John Garcia, Co-Owner of Non-Stop Honolulu and Digital Media Strategist for Kamehameha Schools.

Businesses will learn about the following:

• Social media basics and why they should care
• Setting up: Twitter and Facebook walkthrough
• Touring Twitter — choosing a name, designing your profile, what are hashtags, how do I trend?
• Proper Facebook page setup, linking your physical business with your page and getting “likes”, insights and monitoring
• How to incorporate social media with your existing marketing and web profile
• Management and maintenance
• Questions and answers

Businesses should come with the following:

• Basic knowledge of what they’re currently doing for their social media and web setup
• Any questions on social media that they may have
• iPad, notebook for notes or laptop (WiFi is available)

Street parking is available, free on Sunday or parking in the Auahi Business Center parking lot (free on the weekend).
